Hello all! Welcome to MÖRYO, a fun little existence we've carved out here for ourselves somewhere between the worlds of rock and hip hop, metal and excitement, melancholy and turbulence, but definitely (and most importantly) within the realm of Music. Here at MÖRYO, we take the nonsense that goes on in our heads and turn it around into a musical and adventurous blend, the likes of which have been described above, and the product hopefully being something all of you guys can enjoy in your own way as much as we do. Feel free to join us here, there's plenty of room for everybody!
Shaun Michael Moore
Shaun Moore is the lead guitarist and founder of Möryo. Shaun’s career began when he was recruited into Black Wall, a metal band which included drummer Andrew Harper. Shaun acted as a guitarist as well as a lead songwriter during this time. After their disbandment, Shaun shifted his focus to creating fun, interesting, and eccentric progressive metal in his own vision. Shaun soon recruited Andrew Harper, and Möryo was born. Shaun is influenced by the likes of Boston and Guns N‘ Roses, but also draws from different forms of art such as video games or television to incorporate into his music. Shaun hopes that Möryo can bring a fresh new sound to the world of metal and music as a whole.
Andrew Michael Harper
Andrew Michael Harper, born 1999, is a multi instrumentalist, and acts as the producer and drummer for Möryo. Andrew’s style is a mixture of the classic 80’s rock sound and the new wave of 2010’s technical and progressive metal. Andrew’s musical career started with the founding of his first band, Black Wall, with his brother. Black Wall soon recruited Shaun Moore as a second guitarist, and once all the slots were filled, they started playing out. During this time, Andrew honed his skills behind the drum set and on the stage. After Black Wall’s disbandment in late 2017, Andrew and Shaun went off to create their own project, which eventually became Möryo. Andrew is now focused on creating new music (with Möryo and as a solo artist) as well as beginning a career as a music engineer and producer.
